This project invites you into their raw, deeply personal stories that reveal how love and resilience can grow in the face of the unimaginable. It’s a journey of connection, healing, and hope. SYNOPSIS
This documentary/music video series explores the emotional journeys of families raising children with chronic illness and special needs- uncovering the raw, unseen battles parents and children face. Blending intimate interviews and real life moments with musical segments, this series will expand into a full-length documentary that weaves my story into theirs to show how our most personal struggles are universal. It will also show how God meets us in our most broken and vulnerable places, and the beauty and wisdom he instills in us when we lean on him for strength. After a decade of connecting with these families online, I’m now stepping out from behind the screen. I’ll be traveling to amplify these families voices through film and music. This project is more than a series of films – it’s a call to empathy. It’s a movement to shatter stigma, embrace vulnerability, and remind us that through love, resilience, and our shared humanity, we are never alone.
ABOUT THE FILM
Through music videos and documentary filmmaking, we’ll give these families a voice, a space to heal, and a powerful platform to raise awareness. Each story will shine a light on medical conditions, mental health, and some will show the strength that comes from relying on something greater than ourselves. We’ll also show how music connects us, heals us, and tells the truths words alone often can’t.
When I visit each family, we’ll get to know them intimately—sharing their journey just as they want the world to hear it. Together, we’ll choose songs that reflect their experience, or our music team will create original pieces inspired by their words. These songs will form the foundation of the musical segments, deepening the emotional connection to every story.
In the end, these films are designed to do more than just tell stories—they’re here to help others feel seen, understood, and less alone. They will remind us not only of the resilience and beauty within these families—but the resilience and beauty inside all of us.
